Happy 1st Day in Spain Day!
Just wanted to let you all know that we arrived in Madrid safe and sound ...and exhausted after 20 hours of traveling! We have been out and about in the city already, soaking up as much culture as possible with Suzanne as the tourguide. We will write more later.
P.S. The new Madrid airport looks like it was furnished by IKEA. We wonder how long it took to assemble it with those stupid thumbwrenches.

Hola chicas! Que pasa en Madrid?!
Sorry to hear about the long travel time, but it totally makes sense that you're already out and about in the city! I'm sure you've been to, from, through Puerta del Sol a thousand times already. There are a million things to do in Madrid. Since you're there for only a few days, you must cover the highlights - Plaza Mayor, Palacio Real, the Thyssen museum is nice to see, El Rastro, the flea market in the La Latina district every Sunday, Lefties (Zara outlet on Gran Via), the Doner Kabob place has amazing food, also on Gran Via. As for partying, you MUST check out Palacio Gaviria in Sol on Calle de Arenal. Have some churros to end a big night of partying!
I miss you guys, wish I could be there with you! And please, say hello to Luis at the hostel! Em, I will Email you a picture to show him!
I will look forward to reading your blog everyday! Have a wonderful time! And please be safe! Watch out for pickpocketers!! (still bitter)
Love you guys!
